• Adorkable: Lariatte and January are considered some of the most endearing characters in the series due to their lack of social skills and common knowledge, combined with their sweet, hard-working natures.
• Alternative Character Interpretation: Did Krohiten ever really love Yvienne as a person, or did he love her as a representation for humanity and his 'ideal woman'? Similarly, did Yvienne actually love Krohiten as strongly as she claimed, or did her life-long desperation for normalcy lead her to overromanticize a pretty basic teenage crush?
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Yvienne's mother, due to her Memetic Badass status
• Fan Nickname: Bandit Guy, for the unnamed bandit who was hired to kill January in his introductory chapters and winds up being a recurring character.
• Fan-Preferred Couple: Yvienne/Lariatte, to the point that an entire scanlation group dropped the series when Yvienne started to develop feelings for Krohiten.
• Ho Yay: Other than January and Daughter's canon feelings for each other, Tenial's interest in January often comes across as little too personal for a king and his subordinate.
• Les Yay: To some degree, it exists between every pair of witches, with Judith and Ecliche's relationship as an extreme that just barely remains subtext.
• Memetic Mutation: Daughter's got a hair fetish.
• One True Pairing: Daughter/January is almost universally loved within the fandom, to a far greater extent than the other canon romances. How much so? An official poll was held asking which pairing fans liked the best, and this one wound up with more votes than all the others (including Yvienne/Krohiten) combined.
• Ship Mates: Yvienne/Lariatte and Daughter/January are almost always shipped alongside each other
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Despite Octavia's role as First Princess and her vowing to fight against Tenial's schemes with everything she has, she basically disappears from the story after the time skip.
