YMMV / Ciconia: When They Cry

• Ensemble Dark Horse: Looking at the screenshots for the first phase's Steam Community page, the ABN's Yeladot Shavit team, consisting of Stephania, Leah, and Fatma are quite popular despite being mostly background characters. Judging by the dialogue in the screenshots, it seems to have something to do with them being Yuri fangirls, which sets the stage for funny and memorable lines.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The digital Christmas party. Meant for a time for everyone to relax, the festivities are interrupted by their superiors ordering them to kill each other or be tried for treason. People suddenly disappear from the party one by one as they're killed in real life...
  • The factory. The narrator, someone from the future, tells Miyao of how humans — men, women, children, elders — are taken alive to be hung by the neck on meathooks, get paralyzed by a gas to get them to stop writhing around (and it can wear off), dipped in some sort of acid to melt off their clothes, skin, and hair until only their innards remain, then sorted out among each other by an unknown standard, then get their limbs chopped off by spinning blades until only the head and spinal cord are left. The narrator then ends their story warning Miyao that this hellish future is "certain" if he does nothing and encourages him to stop 'them' no matter the cost, even if it means killing them.
• Tainted by the Preview: The significantly higher price (40$ per phase, with a planned four phases for a total of 160$) compared to past When They Cry titles has soured the opinion of some people.
