• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Did Commander Shark really leave Jackall behind because he didn't want him to get caught up in his uprising? Considering Jackall is a space pirate and would likely be erased from existence if Earth wasn't conquered, is it possible he felt guilty about doing something that would erase his comrade-in-arms and didn't want that to get in the way of his rebellion?
  • There's a surprising amount one can interpret about King Neo Descal and several of his actions.
    • First off, did he kill Garade simply for failing him, or was it because Garade was about to attack and kill Aqual, something which would change the timeline even more. Or was it both?
    • In episode 33, was Neo Descal manhandling Aqual just him being cruel, or was it Pragmatic Villainy given how he needed a way to punish her for defying him, and couldn't kill her without altering the timeline.
    • In the penultimate episode, did he kill Barreda just because she had outlived her usefulness? Was he disappointed in her for not stopping Takuto and Remy? Or was he disappointed that she gave up so easily after Dark Geran was destroyed?
• Awesome Music: Like Gransazer and Justriser before it, Sazer-X has several memorable tracks.
  • All of the Sazer-X members have cool leitmotifs. Lio Sazer is particularly invigorating.
  • Both the Descal and Neo Descal have suitably ominous theme songs. Neo Descal's theme in particular starts off slow before building up to being fast-paced and intense.
  • Then there's the slow and somber song that plays during the more quiet and character-driven moments.
  • There's also this slow song that sounds slightly more optimistic, but still has a twinge of sadness.
  • There's this triumphant-sounding song that plays whenever a character does something heroic or courageous.
• Common Knowledge: "Sazer-X has only 38 episodes because it was Cut Short." In fact, Sazer-X was always planned to only last nine months and end in the summer time.
• Complete Monster: King Neo Descal is the ruler of Neo Descal and the one behind their galactic conquest, during which he had entire planets bombarded into darkness in the name of making the universe become one. Having sent Garade and Grouza back in time to stop Sazer-X and keep history the same, King Neo Descal marks his own arrival in the past by executing Garade for his failures. He then brainwashes his ancestor Cyclead and uses him to distract Sazer-X from his true plan—to use the Dark Alumer to terraform Earth with darkness and exterminate its inhabitants. He later executes his loyal right-hand woman Barreda for simply being of no more use to him before merging with Dark Geran to personally ensure Earth's devastation. Although he claims to want to bring peace, it's pointed out that all his plan will really do is dominate everyone with his own ego.
• Retroactive Recognition:
  • Ad is Joe Gibken's senior officer.
  • Beetle Sazer later became the host for a Greeed.
  • Gordo would later become a auxiliary Kyoryuger.
  • Takuto would later be the voice of an Assist Weapon and a Dark Giant.
• Tear Jerker: Commander Shark's death/disappearance hits hard. He bids farewell Remy and tells her he'll always think of her as his child, then asks Sazer-X to create a glorious future before fading away.
