- Retroactive Recognition: This short marked the debut of Bury Mattison, starting off as an assistant animator here, working on movies in the Disney Animated Canon in some capacity from Lady and the Tramp all the way up to Strange World.
- Values Dissonance: There is no way this cartoon would ever be made today, what with Casey's misogyny over wanting a son and being dismayed over just having nothing but daughters, so much so he literally tries to attack the doctor who delivered them, and then gives his wife the Silent Treatment for years afterward! The only time he even seems to show he loves them is when it's revealed they did inherit their father's baseball talent and he can form a team with them!
- He also smacks his wife on the rear in joy after realizing he can form a team with his daughters!
