YMMV / Bruce Has a Problem

• Crack Pairing: At the very heart of this story.
  • And it actually works out; Harley's infectiously positive attitude helps Bruce to open up more, while Bruce's strict ethics make him the good example that Harley needs to shake off the Joker's influence.
  • Though it says a lot that Harley decided that a man who dresses up with a bat to beat up half the population of Gotham City each night and is easily one of the grimmest beings in the DC universe (and this includes beings like Darkseid or Orion, mind you) is still a more mentally stable and loving partner than the Joker.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: So much of this fic would end up presaging Batman: Wayne Family Adventures, which has a similar Slice of Life tone and much of the same characterization for the Batfamily.
• Les Yay: Ivy, towards Harley and later Cass, to a degree.
• Memetic Badass:
  • Doc Doyle is starting to get this.
  • Dr. Young has been given an in to become one.
• Moral Event Horizon: For Talia when she kidnaps Stephanie Brown's daughter and implies she will kill her to force Steph to participate in a Combat by Champion for Talia.
• Nightmare Fuel: What Strange did to Jane Doe. Yes, her new persona is played for laughs and yes, her original persona was that of a serial killer, but to completely erase someone's personality so that you have someone who thinks her sole purpose in life is to be a lamp which provides dramatic lighting? Yikes.
