  • With Shadow of Intent. Both bands blew up in popularity around the same time and are seen as bands taking deathcore in new directions. It helps that both bands are good friends and will jump at the chance to tour with each other. Even Brand of Sacrifice makes helps make merch for Shadow of Intent when they go out on tour!

• More Popular Spin-Off: The Afterimage was a decently popular djent/metalcore act in their day, but they could never quite break that midtier ceiling they were stuck under. A combination of Tragic Hero Records screwing them over and their final album Eve being considered middle of the road by their fans caused them to call it a day in 2018. Singer Kyle Anderson started Brand of Sacrifice later that year with the same lineup as The Afterimage and quickly blew up in popularity. Brand of Sacrifice would end up being one of the defining stars of late 2010s/early 2020s deathcore along with Shadow of Intent, Slaughter to Prevail, and Lorna Shore while The Afterimage has largely been forgotten about outside of djent and metalcore circles.
