• Awesome Music: The majority of their material. All Fours in particular is acclaimed even among many who usually dislike post-black metal.
• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The majority of Bryan Manning's lyrics are simple absurdist vignettes where no context or explanation is provided for the events of the story, and there's almost always No Ending.
• Creepy Awesome: Probably a large part of the appeal of the band's music (and their lyrics, for that matter). It helps that their songs and lyrics are both very well written, despite their often disturbing subject matter.
• Nausea Fuel/Squick: Absolutely everything involving Marie... and about a quarter of their other lyrics, honestly, if not more.
