Archive Panic: The show has over 600 episodes spread across a good amount of seasons, as well as eleven movies, as of 2024.
Fandom Rivalry: The Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf fandom has some animosity towards the Boonie Bears fandom, due to the latter show quickly becoming more popular than the former.
Woolseyism: The English dub incorporates a number of pop-culture references that weren't in the Chinese original. For example, in episode 1, when Logger Vick sees Bramble for the first time, he threatens to use a Justin Bieber CD to fend him off in the English version when he just asks him to go away in the Chinese version, and the Chinese version of episode 8 contains no reference to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Logger Vick like the English version does.
The films
Accidental Aesop: In The Wild Life, it can be interpreted that the takeaway is that the people who help you most can come from anywhere.
Narm Charm: The rather questionable voice acting in The Wild Life surprisingly doesn't make the sad scenes of the backstory worse.
The Woobie: Brewha the wolf pup in Blast into the Past. She is ridiculed by her pack for refusing to prey on innocent creatures, and trying to rescue a cavechild the wolves were trying to eat. The only wolf who cared for her, her Big Brother Mentor, was killed by falling rocks when he rescued her.
