- Captain Obvious Reveal: The measures used to conceal the identity of Sleer only make it obvious to the audience that it must be an Arch-Nemesis Back from the Dead. Unless Travis had somehow survived his Cruel and Unusual Death in "Star One", who else could it be but Servalan?
- Fridge Logic: Sleer being Servalan. Her picture must have been all over the propaganda newscasts when she ruled the Terran Federation or even when she only ran Space Command; in "Project Avalon", Blake recognises the Supreme Commander on sight, despite them never having met before.
- Narm:
- Practor's response to being shot is to cover his crotch.
- What should be a vicious and bloody hand-to-hand struggle between Federation soldiers and unadapted Helots is actually the actors swotting unconvincingly at each other.
- The drama of Servalan's return from the dead is hampered by her looking like a transvestite crow.
- Avon and Soolin relaxing in deck chairs on the Scorpio bridge.
- Uncanny Valley Makeup: Servalan looks like she's trying to conceal her true identity behind excessive makeup, while the General resembles a Thunderbirds puppet.
