YMMV / Berserk: Millennium Falcon Hen Seima Senki no Shō

Go To

  • Event-Obscuring Camera: The fixed camera becomes a disadvantage when you can't see the enemies coming from the bottom of the screen, especially in a level like the forest where you have to backtrack a lot.
  • Goddamned Bats: Pretty much all regular enemies quickly turn into this. You can kill them in one hit, and you barely get any experience from them, so all they serve to do is annoy you and slow you down by swarming you no matter how many you kill.
  • Goddamned Boss: Slan is pretty damn frustrating until you figure out how to hurt her by creating a gap in her wings, which is not very intuitive. For the whole first half of the boss fight you're at the mercy of her Combat Tentacles shooting out of the floor, and it seems like there's no way at all to harm her.
  • No Problem with Licensed Games: The game never left Japan, but among those who have played it, it's generally agreed to be the best Berserk game, a decent action game in its own right, and very much worth playing if you're a fan of the series.
  • That One Attack: Grunbeld's rain of fireballs is pretty difficult to dodge, and will do a lot of damage if you get caught in the blast.
