YMMV regarding the VisualNovel:

  • Nightmare Fuel: While very, very, 'very' deserved, the murder of Cerise and Eve are perhaps the most brutal deaths in the game. Maria's, while also unnerving, was very quick. Lady Amaris, at the least, we're spared of seeing her brutal beatdown and death (though we are described the aftermath). Same can't be said for Magda's bullies.

YMMV regarding the WebComic:

  • Fridge Horror:
    • There's nothing in the Web Comic or the gameplay version that implies that the mother was arrested or even properly confronted about what she did to her son.
    • Considering how the mother treated her son due to his weight issues, let's just hope that the boy was an only child. If not, then one has to wonder how the mother possibly treated her other children.
    • Something that’s been noticed by the readers is that the boy never says a word, meaning that we never get to hear his side of the story. For all we know he didn’t want to go through with the treatment, and he was still forced to until he died.
  • Karma Houdini: The mother is never investigated or confronted about her actions (or at least not during the events of the comic).
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • It's been pointed out by many readers that the mother has a very unsettling atmosphere surrounding her even before she does anything outwardly bad. This feeling gets worse as the story progresses with her religious obsession and near-permanent smile.
    • The state of the mother's son by the 3rd week of weight loss. He's severely emaciated, his eyes are sunken, his jaw is seemingly always gaping open, and all you can hear from him is his labored wheezy breathing. And all the mother can think of is how he need to lose a little more weight in order to be handsome.
    • The final illustration of the comic depicts the boy's final medical scan, which reveals that his body became so compressed that it couldn't handle the pressure and imploded, spraying his organs and bodily fluids everywhere. It's no wonder why the gameplay version included the sound of the medical staff screaming in terror at what they just witnessed.
