* AdaptationDisplacement: Movie? What movie?
** Subverted in a lot of cases, considering the movie was a popular summer blockbuster when it came out, and was frequently talked about on Nick prior to its release.
* CrowningMusicOfAwesome: The use of Music/TomPetty's "I Won't Back Down" in the movie. Sung by Ben's voice actor Sam Elliot but easily (and often) mistaken for Music/JohnnyCash, who also recorded the song.
** "Wild 'n' Free" by Rednex.
** "You Broke My Heart So I Burned Down Your Farm"
** "Bionic Janitor"
** The OminousLatinChanting in "Hypno-A-Go-Go" is bound to send chills down your spine.
* EarWorm: Bigfoot is 8 foot 10, He taught us to love again....
** Well, you broke my heart, so I burned down your farm!"
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Bigfoot.
** and a random goat.
** Also, there's Freddy.
** MOOSESHARK
* HilariousInHindsight: When Music/WeirdAlYankovic guest stared in the episode "Get Bessy", the big twist was that he's actually a horse in disquise. He has since become a guest star on ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic''.
** From King Cud: "Dragons hate turnips! I knew you'd fail me!" Maybe that's why there are no turnips in the fights with Draggadon in ''VideoGame/CaptainToadTreasureTracker'' (and even if there were, they wouldn't have stopped Draggadon).
* MoralEventHorizon:
** Baxter was an unlikeable little jerk to begin with, but he crosses this in "Puppy Love" where he plots to [[spoiler: marry Duke's sister, then [[NeverSayDie kick his family's various buckets]] to [[GoldDigger take his]] [[AssPull family's fortune of golden dog bones]]]].
** In "Pig Amok", Brunnhilda, Pig's [[ArrangedMarriage arranged wife]], is always seen berating and insulting Pig (who is too love struck to care) with no redeeming qualities to boot, but it's when she [[spoiler: laughs at Otis' supposed death by "brocolli poisoning"]] that you know she's over the line.
* MostAnnoyingSound: Dear GOD, Snotty Boy! Could you just shut up for five minutes?
* {{Narm}}:
** [[http://images.wikia.com/nickelodeon/images/8/86/Barnyard_DVD_%3D_Cowman_The_uddered_avenger.jpg The cover of ''"Cowman: The Uddered Avenger"'']]. Yes, we know it's a kid's show and it's obviously a spoof of a dramatic superhero comic book cover, but there's something so over-the-top corny about it that it hurts to look at it.
** In "Hypno-A-Go-Go", Otis panics when he [[ItMakesSenseInContext supposedly killed what was thought to be the farmer while under hypnosis]]. But his panicking sounds far too hilarious to be taken seriously. Since he considers the farmer his dear, dear friend (his words), one can't help but feel more seriousness and oomph should be put into it.
* {{Shipping}}: Otis and Abby
* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: The title card theme for Hypno-A-Go-Go (which also plays throughout the episode) sounds rather similar to [[http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/75028 The Graveyard(o)_(o)]].
* TheWoobie: the farmer and Nathan.
** In some episodes of the series, Freddy counts as an IronWoobie. Particularly in "Meet The Ferrets" and "Fowl Play".
