- Broken Base:
- Within days of every BIONICLE announcement by LEGO, half a dozen topics complaining about it would appear. Thankfully, most BZPower members are fairly reasonable.
- Hero Factory. Terrible line that killed LEGO's crown jewel, acceptable replacement to a good line, or perfect re-imagining of LEGO's constructible action figure concept that only someone who is annoyed about BIONICLE's end could ever dislike? Opinions of it (and opinions of people's opinions of it) are all over the place.
- Canon Fodder: Either Greg knows his subject material like the back of his hand, or his close connections with the fandom has helped him keep Canon Fodder to a bare minimum in BIONICLE Canon.
- Epileptic Trees: Has its own forum. Oddly enough, many of the more bizarre trees have been proven true (like the entire Matoran world being inside a giant robot)
- Fan Hater: Many other BIONICLE fan communities hold a significant grudge against BZPower, citing their habit of preventing other BIONICLE forums' co-existence and killing many of them (such as MaskOfDestiny.com), the at best questionable actions of the forum management, the way the author always listens to them, and the lack of topics that deals with serious issues.
- Fanon: Copious amounts.
- "Funny Aneurysm" Moment: The staff once pulled a prank that involved "deleting" two of the subforums. In February 2013, a hacker decided to delete the entire forum archive and all the backups.
- Memetic Mutation:
- Secret Stomache Meassage
[sic], just another spam topic which reached infamy when it became known as lesson #486 on how to get banned.
- "Can't answer it." And, to a lesser extent, "Follow the story and find out." These are two of Greg Farshtey's favorite responses when asked questions about future BIONICLE storyline, quickly becoming the source of many Epileptic Trees as fans guessed what secret spoilers Farshtey could be hiding.
- Taken Up to Eleven in one comedy where FregG would answer every question this way, even if it was something plainly obvious (e.g. "Is the sky blue?").
- Secret Stomache Meassage
- No True Scotsman: It's amazing how many people aren't truly BIONICLE fans, for various reasons.
- Luckily this attitude has calmed down a bit. But wait till you see how negatively people are reacting to Bionicle on the site now. Chances are, this will pop up again.
- Periphery Demographic: The majority of BZPower members are outside of the "8-16 years" found on the sides of BIONICLE canisters.
- Shipping: Despite BIONICLE being a No Hugging, No Kissing universe, there is plenty to go around.
- Crack Pairing: With Loads and Loads of Characters, there are bound to be some.
- Ship-to-Ship Combat: Nowhere near as bad as, say Zutara vs. Kataang, but with Loads and Loads of Characters and a high male to female ratio (roughly 5 males to 1 female with the main characters), there are bound to be scuffles. The most contested is probably VakamaXNokama vs. MatauXNokama.
