YMMV / Arrow S 6 E 11 We Fall

• Alternative Character Interpretation: Played for Laughs but William's resolution at the end (if anything happens to Oliver, he'll be fine since he has Felicity) has lead to some deeming him a sociopath who views his parental figures as completely interchangeable and expendable, only concerned about how he is affected in the long run.
• Narm:
  • The cartoon bully who dresses like a '50s greaser, is over the top cruel enough to mock William's dead mother, is weirdly fixated on "reading stories" as his favorite insult, and is completely pointless to the episode's story. So, which crew member insisted their kid be put in the show?
  • William saying he is okay with Oliver being the Green Arrow and potentially dying because he has Felicity. It is a blatant attempt at shilling her. So William is okay with his dad risking his life because of a his step mom who he's only known for less than 5 months. If anything it seems like he likes Felicity more than Oliver AND Samantha(considering how it seems he forgot her so quickly for Felicity).
  • Due to errors in the episode's editing/directing, Stephen Amell's facial hairstyle appears noticeably inconsistent throughout the episode, going from clean-shaven to beard to clean-shaven again with no explanation given. This can end up ruining the Willing Suspension of Disbelief, even for this show.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The New Recruits, again! Cayden James is attacking the city, but they still refuse to fight alongside Team Arrow until the end of the episode and even then after all is said and done, Rene bluntly tells Oliver that "nothing's changed". All of them are acting like petulant teenagers instead of the full-grown adults they actually are.
