- The track title "Chop U!" sounds either like an Unusual Euphemism or some sort of helicopter pilot institution. The track itself is awesome.

- Porting Disaster: The version of the game packaged with the Sega Astro City Mini V marks the game's first and only port...and it's saddled with a crippling 10 frames (or about 1/6 of a second) of input lag!
- Signature Song: "Let Ass Kick Together!", simply for the title alone.
- That One Boss: Envy, one of the Rivals that appear at the end of st. 5. Suffice to say that the usual guides for a 1CC explicitly instruct you to make Zenovia Airport the fourth stage, so you can structure things to fight Blunt and Sobut, but not Envy. That's how nasty it is. It mostly has to do with Envy's lasers being nightmarishly fast no matter how low the rank is.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: While "Stab and Stomp!" is regarded by many as Awesome Music, some players are disappointed that it plays for Glow Squid (the Final Boss of Battle Garegga) in this game rather than its correct theme, "Eruptor".
