  • Difficulty Spike: In Tournament mode, the games are very easy to win... until you get to Team Crystal. The fast heats and breaking balls will most likely throw you off. And if you get on par with them, that will be utterly insufficient for the next game, which is against the Arc Stars. Their pitches are insanely fast to say the least.
  • Good Bad Bugs:
    • Sometimes, fielders can merge together when trying to catch a fly ball, especially if one or two of them dives. The sight is pretty funny.
    • As part of Artificial Stupidity, if there's someone on third base, CPU-controlled catchers may receive a throw by an infielder who has fielded a grounder, start running towards first base, and then throw to the plate... where there's no one covering. The ball hits the backstop and rolls slowly back to the plate. If your batter is a Small player, you might as well try and reach second base, or else take the risk of getting in a rundown.
    • If you have grounded to the first baseman far from his/her base, they will run to the bag along with the pitcher in order to put you out, but, sometimes, the baseman will throw to the bag before the pitcher has gotten there, resulting in a ball hitting the foul territory. It might give you the chance to reach second base.
  • Most Wonderful Sound: The sound of a swinging strikeout on behalf of the CPU batters is delicious.
  • That One Attack:
    • Fastballs from Team Crystal and the Arc Stars. They're very, very fast.
    • Forkballs. Even if you're an experienced player and can tell that a pitch is too slow to be a fastball and therefore expect it to break, it will sometimes make you swing and miss. Especially when you have 2 strikes and just need to take the risk and try and hit it.
    • James's slider. He's the only CPU-controlled pitcher who actually uses this pitch, and it does a good job at throwing you off.
  • That One Boss: The Arc Stars. They'll make you sweat to win due to lightning-speed pitches, great running speed, and powerful and accurate hits. They're Purposely Overpowered, after all.
  • That One Disadvantage:
    • Small batters' "Quick dash" ability. It sums up as a ground ball to the infielders in exchange of your batter running faster than normal to first base. If you have experienced it, you know it's never worth it note .
    • Macho pitchers' fastballs. They're fast, but they can be easily hit into the stands if you're playing against the Rhinos or a better team. As a rule of thumb, it's not worth it. Especially if it's your starting pitcher, who's supposed to pitch at least half a game.
  • Scrappy Mechanic:
    • You create the characters for your team upon a predefined position player canvas. For example, you adjust the parameters in a certain way upon a generic-looking model named "First base" to create your first baseman. This is fine until you want two characters to swap positions, in which case you'll have to copy all the parameters of char A, paste them onto char B, copy parameters of char B, and paste them onto char A. This is very time-consuming and could've been infinitely better by creating characters with no preassigned postion, and then having a menu for assigning position, which you could change any time without having to go through that tedious process.
    • After you make a pitch, the pitch type reverts back to fastball. This is good if you wanted to pitch a fastball next, but very annoying if you didn't. Especially if your wanted pitch is several button hits away from the fastball. Pitch selection should stick to the last pitch type made.
    • After you quit a bunt pose, the batting type switches back to Normal, similarly to pitch type. This is equally annoying if you wanted to use any other hitting type.
    • We won't say this enough times: the "Quick dash" ability of Small batters is useless because it nearly always results in a groundout.
    • Pitch speed is random. It oscillates between a set of predefined values (e.g. a Tall pitcher's slider will vary between 113 and 121 km/h), but you have no means to affect the pitch speed unlike in most baseball games. Sometimes you need a slower or faster breaking ball, but have to rely on chance.
