• Crossing the Line Twice: When playing Doki Doki Literature Club!, Ellie went on a massive tangent on turtleneck sweaters due to Yuri wearing one. So naturally, a shocked Ellie declared that Sayori "got turtlenecked" when she saw her hanging body.
• Friendly Fandoms: Many of the channel's fans are also fans of Goonya Fighter, as they uploaded a playthrough of the game in which Jacob and Jo really enjoyed playing the game for its So Bad, It's Good qualities yet legitimate charm and fun gameplay. The video is how most people became aware of the game.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • In "We Challenged a Vtuber to Mario Party", Jacob and Jo play Mario Party 4 with (at the time) one of Jacob's friends, Yakirisu. Being the guest, the two give her the floor to tell the audience who she is and what she does, to which Yaki just says "oh you know who I am", before actually introducing herself. When it was revealed late in May 2023 that she was abusive to Jacob's friends, including one of his editors, unfortunately, people then knew who she was, just for all the wrong reasons.
  • In their playthrough of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Jacob and Jo say how much they love their fanbase and their running jokes. They would eventually grow disillusioned with their fanbase partly due to some people spamming the jokes on their friend's accounts, leading to them changing the channel's name and branding.
• I Knew It!: Many a fan had already guessed that Tyler was Miloni before the creators outright said it, but given that the joke was that it wasn't entirely clear if they're being honest or not, it's taken in stride.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • "Wrong Way Jo."^note When Jo played through Super Mario Maker 2 levels, he'd often explore the level and find unintended pathways or reach dead ends. Players would leave comments with this phrase at these points, expecting Jo to find them and react.
  • "I didn't order a creeper!"^note From playing Youtuber's Life, as the two imagined the "funny comment" their gamer-girl Minecraft LPer would say. The sheer un-humor of the line and Alpharad's delivery turned it into a recurring joke.
  • "Our cause is just."^note One of the pre-made comments in Smash Ultimate. Became associated with the channel when Alpha and Jo found it to be endearingly edgy. The phrase was encouraged to be used by fans of the channel to signify they played against the two.
  • "Welcome to the bald podcast."
  • minecraft; the way home^note A bizarre level of Mario Maker 2 found by chance, whose utter lack of relation to Minecraft, bizarre title format and subtitle "the way home" made it an instant favorite from the duo. The level, and its creator "Alex the 9", are joking exaggerated to be the height of quality.
  • A mid-tier with an Icarus complex^note A copypasta spawned from a comment talking about how Jacob's cockiness holds him back from being a better Smash player, and compares him to Pit: 'mid tier with an Icarus complex.' This copypasta blew up when Jacob inexplicably lost to a Pit CPU, fuelling the comparisons.
  • "Grrrrr…"^note Another pre-made Smash Ultimate comment, pointed out as a hilariously childish way to show frustration. Used in irony by both the duo and fans, similar to "Our cause is just."
  • Dash's antiperspirant joke ^note Mentioned once by Dash, how he doesn't sweat when playing games, he has antiperspirant. Expect to see this in the comments for any video that Dash is a part of.
• More Popular Spin-Off: Gold is this for Alpharad fans who still miss the 2017-2020 era where Alpharad videos were mostly live commentary over gameplay. Jacob has admitted that while he respects this opinion, he isn't fond of fans going up to him and saying that one is better than the other.
