Even if he was furious after realizing Jade ratted him out, he paused, sat back, and worked out the highlights of her real background with frightening accuracy, including the fact she considers herself a hero. This insults him... because he considers commitment to whatever cause one has a capital virtue. He begins drawing plans for a hellish fate involving torturing Jade, including multiple instruments and letting her see as Jinx shares her fate... and immediately dismisses the idea to simply bare down on her with an onion and an enchanted knife, giving her a horrid Glasgow Grin and pushing her to complete her slide into darkness; the ordeal forces her to begin using very dark magic to give herself a Power-Upgrading Deformation. Even worse, Batman stopping her from murdering the clown only makes her angrier, as lampshaded by the Joker.
