YMMV / Crash Canyon

Go To

  • Angst? What Angst?: Most of the time, people are pretty calm about the fact that they're all trapped down in the canyon, most likely forever.
  • Awesome Music: The theme song is kind of a bop, perfectly capturing that Western feel and having an excellently executed complex rhyming scheme.
    • Bryn McAuley is the voice of Roxy, so of course they give her a musical number, which exemplified Bryn's beautiful voice, lilting abilities, and broad range, as it genre-shifted between all different kinds of music.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: "I wish we could go back before women were allowed to play golf, but not so far back I wasn't allowed to play. That sweet middle spot."
  • Designated Hero: Sheila is a selfish, stupid, abusive, racist woman who is often portrayed in heroic roles and is also intended to play the straight man to Norm.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Bobby Joe from "Less Than 127 Hours" has become kind of a fan favorite, due to his hilariously tragic life.
  • Growing the Beard: Season 2 focused more on developing the characters and adding more depth, which gives them a lot more to work with.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: The episode "Less Than 127 Hours" ending on a hilariously tragic funeral and a memorial for Bobby Joe becomes this when you see that it was the last episode of the series before its cancellation.
  • Hollywood Homely: And Pristine is hideous how...? It doesn't help that her name is Pristine which completely subverts Meaningful Name.
  • Jerks Are Worse Than Villains: Roxy garners more hatred among the fanbase for bullying and putting other girls down, than murderers like Earl.
  • They Copied It, So It Sucks!: Is usually seen as little more than a clone of Family Guy by its haters, which certainly isn't helped by how freakishly similar the show's artstyle is to that of Seth MacFarlane's (which only worsens things for most, given the controversial nature of the Family Guy artstyle).
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: The show somehow aired in a children timeslot in France. The channel got flak for this, and the superior authority acknowledged the show isn't suited for children under 10.
