Tropes appearing in this short:

  • Bait-and-Switch: After the jam session, Maggie holds up a sign that reads "Sucks". Then holds up another sign reading "For me that means good".
  • Continuity Snarl: For the sake of a joke, the short ignores all the times in the past that Homer has supported Lisa in music.
  • Crossover Cameo: An image in the end credits features Homer, Marge, Bart, Selma, and Patty dancing with Ursula, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Cinderella, Gaston, and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Bart is surprised when he learns that FINNEAS helps his sister with her music without being forced to. It's enough for Bart to make FINNEAS write lines promising to prank his sister.
  • Running Gag: Billie Eilish's hair changing colors, with a sign on her building advertising as such.
  • Tears of Joy: Lisa sheds these while upside-down after Billie Eilish asks if she wants to jam.
  • Writing Lines: The end credits show an image of Bart making FINNEAS write "I will learn to prank my sister" on the chalkboard.
