The Spaghetti Family (La Famiglia Spaghetti) is a 2003 Italian comedy animated series created by Bruno Bozzetto and produced by The Animation Band, Mondo TV and Rai Fiction, and animated by SEK Studio. It follows a family consisting of Poldo Spaghetti, a father who runs a pasta factory, his wife Marta, their sons Silvio and Franco and twin daughters Anna and Irma.

The show was created as a European/Italian answer to The Simpsons. The pilot was screened at the first Cartoons On The Bay festival in 1996. In 2003, the show won the Pulcinella d’Oro award at the same festival.

The show was dubbed to several languages including English (the episode "Poldo's New Age" is available on YouTube). The Italian and English dubs are viewable from extremely hard-to-find DVDs, while other dubs are easily found on the internet.

The Spaghetti Family contains examples of:

  • Casanova Wannabe: Silvio tries and fails to get into relationships with girls.
  • Covers Always Lie: One Greek DVD cover shows Stewie Griffin among the characters.
  • Dysfunctional Family: The Spaghetti children are commonly in disputes with their siblings or parents.
  • Family Title: The show's title mentions the Spaghetti family.
  • Fun T-Shirt: Poldo's white t-shirt has the word "NO" in big fat letters, which fits with his stubborn personality.
  • Nerd Glasses: Silvio is the smart guy of the family, and wears half-moon shaped glasses to symbolise this.
  • The Quiet One: Franco is the introverted one among a very loud family, and rarely speaks.
  • Short-Runners: The show lasted 26 episodes.
  • Single-Minded Twins: Anna and Irma can speak and act simultaneously, in spite of their unmatched personalities.
