Spongo, Fuzz & Jalapeña is an Australian Animated Series by Daniel Mansour.

The show follows three teenagers: Spongo the adrenaline junkie who would rather lose spectacularly than win easily, Fuzz the methodical one who would rather sit down and plan out their victory, and Jalapeña the aspiring chef and tech genius. The three have come to the town of Champignon, the town of daily world championship events, with one goal in mind: become a champion at something.

Easier said than done, of course. Everyone in Champignon is an already-established world champion at SOMEthing, so the trio will certainly have their work cut out for them if they hope to take home that coveted gold medal at... whatever Champignon throws their way. Of course, the real obstacle they'll have to overcome is Taylor La Strange, a spoiled rich tech genius who seems determined to ensure that the three friends never win a trophy at anything. And helping her is her cousin/sidekick, Dangles, who seems to have very monkey-like traits.

The series debuted on September the 30th, 2019.

Spongo, Fuzz & Jalapeña contains examples of:

  • The Bad Guy Wins: In one episode, Fuzz wants to win a coveted yellow jacket that most of the people of Champignon already have. However, Taylor also enters the competition to get one to ensure that Fuzz can't have it. Taylor wins, and Fuzz is left with briefly getting to touch Snowden's yellow jacket.
  • "Do It Yourself" Theme Tune: The theme song for the show is sung mostly by Jonathan Grant as Spongo, with other actors chipping in at times.
  • Hair Colors: Jalapeña has blue hair.
  • Pay Phone: The episode "Stuff It" has Spongo take on the challenge of fitting the most people into a single telephone boot.
