The gang is getting ready to go to a new school, but Lucy decides to teach all her friends so that they can pass a test that will give them eternal summer vacation, but she will find that teaching is a lot harder than she thought.

- Apple for Teacher:
- Linus leaves a load of apples to Miss Othmar at the last day of school, believing that she will need them for the entirety of summer.
- At the end, Lucy gives an apple to their new teacher, Miss Halverson, after giving her a gratitude speech.
- A Day in the Limelight: For Lucy, as she tries to find a way to avoid going to the new school and have summer vacation forever.
- Big Word Shout: Lucy shouts the word "STOP!" when the Mayflower chapter she's teaching happens to relate to her struggles.
- Know-Nothing Know-It-All: Lucy believes that she knows everything needed to pass the test, but her teaching shows very little of such, and when Linus shows her what the passing test looks like, she discovers that she doesn’t know anything in it and that she hasn’t taught anything on it.
- Only Sane Man: Linus is the only one who doesn't fall for Lucy's claims to help the gang get an endless summer. Marcie and Franklin as well, but they join for different reasons (Marcie being that if it's true she can get a headstart on her college applications and Franklin has just morbid curiosity)
- Sherlock Can Read: Lucy manages to teach something actually true about Amelia Earhart, but Franklin points out that she probably did it by reading it from a pedestal that was there.
- What Would X Do?: Believing that all of his friends will fail the test thanks to Lucy's teaching, Linus questions what would Miss Othmar do, and gets the idea of asking her for a passing test to show it to Lucy.
