The Last Golden Child is an action webtoon written by Allkae with art by Saemong. It was originally released on Naver on May 22, 2021 while the English translation began on September 9, 2021.
How many kicks does it take to smash the heart of a giant? Though she’s not a pure Child of Golden Light, Loxy must learn to channel the sun’s warmth and topple the towering titans that stand in the way of saving her sister. With bloodthirsty giants in her path, and the ruthless God of the Gods, Odin, in hot pursuit, Loxy pushes her body to its very limits in the hopes that she can become half as strong as the sister that now desperately needs her help.
The Last Golden Child contains examples of:
- Action Girl: Pretty much every female character so far have shown some skill in fighting.
- Jerkass Gods: Odin is the main antagonist.
- Poor Communication Kills: Misunderstandings have on two occasions caused the birth of Giant God Kings.
- The first time was when Urd and Verdandi imprisoned Skuld to keep her from working herself to death keeping humans alive, and allowed the humans to assume that she had simply abandoned them. This led to them killing Skuld in revenge when she broke free, causing Urd and Verdandi to be consumed by their own despair.
- Hel killed the entire Bone Tribe, intending to revive them later on. She didn't explain that second part though, so Pone saw it as a betrayal and attacked her, resulting in Hel being consumed by her own grief at the loss of her first friend.
- Training Montage: Episode 11 covers Loxy's 2 year training under Megan, from absorbing/circulating the light, combat, and compressing heat.
