The Coop
is a Mega Crossover of various Tumblr comics featuring various versions of Scootaloo from MLP:FIM.
This webcomic contains the following tropes:
- All There in the Manual: The site has a page citing the sources of most of the Scootaloos.
- Alternate Universe: According to
Word of God, all Coop strips take place in a separate continuity from any blogs that a Scootaloo may originate from. For example, a Scootaloo in the Coop could die, and its counterpart would still be alive, but a few, like Cosplayloo and Soothsayerloo are Coop exclusive. - Cosmic Retcon: Here, after Factory Scootaloo killed all her counterparts.
- Cosplay: Cosplayloo, with the added twist of apparently having her personality change somewhat to match her costume.
- Crossover: It’s a Mega Crossover of various Tumblr comics featuring Scootaloo, the site has a mostly complete list, but ‘’Motherly Scootaloo’’ is one of the notable ones.
- Gender Bender: One of the post Cosmic Retcon Scootaloos was originally a girl, but was transformed into a guy by accident in his origin comic.
- Genre Shift: After the Cosmic Retcon, the comic went from a reality-show-like situation to a slice-of-life scenario.
- Our Ghosts Are Different: There is a ghostly Scootaloo.
- Punny Name: “The Coop” gets its name from the
Memetic Mutation of Scootaloo being called chicken in MLP canon. - Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory: Factory Scootaloo seems to be the only Scootaloo to remember the reality where she killed the others.
