Rodney R. Rodney is a 2020 webcomic illustrated by Violaine Briat.

Rodney R. Rodney is a man living in a normal neighborhood where some of his neighbors find his behaviour annoying and petty, but also find him extremely creepy as well.Rodney being oblivious to what his neighbors think of him, carries on normally.

Rodney R. Rodney contains examples of:

  • Central Theme: Looks can be deceiving and you shouldn't judge people based on one not so great impression. Rodney is a man who looks and acts somewhat creepy and so in any other work would probably be Obviously Evil, but here is clearly just a friendly, regular guy who happens to have some odd mannerisms and No Social Skills. Meanwhile, the seemingly normal, if obnoxious, Travis is generally overlooked and viewed as an ordinary kid, but there are very strong hints that he's actually the serial killer that was showing up on the news.
  • Character Tics: Rodney fidgets with his hands on chapter 7, page 10.
  • Unusual Pets for Unusual People: Rodney owns snakes whom he keeps in urns labeled “Mom” and “Dad” as well as an abundance of rabbits.
  • Wham Line:
    • From chapter 19 strip 21, via a radio report about the mysterious serial killings occurring in town:
"A new victim uncovered just hours ago by the local police tied to the string of murders... hopefully shedding light on more information on the motives and patterns of the criminal still at large. The victim, Mrs. Margaret Rodney age 65 is survived by her two sons, Rodney and Kenneth."
    • Shortly afterward, Chad concernedly asks Rodney when the last time he saw his mother was, to which Rodney says "a couple weeks ago". When he asks if he watches the news, Rodney says "no". Cue Chad's Oh, Crap! moment upon realizing that Rodney has no idea that his mother is dead.
  • White bunny: Rodney has a large number of these in his house.
  • You Are What You Hate: Most of the people who think Rodney is a crazy stalker don't really display the best respect for boundaries themselves. This includes sneaking uninvited onto his property to take pictures (and breaking one of his flower pots in the process), and literally stalking him to steal his hair. It Makes Sense in Context. The level of paranoia they display also makes them look worlds more unstable than Rodney actually is.
