Kyria is an RPG-influenced fantasy webcomic about the adventures of the Mercenaries of Ryndele. A group of humans and animal-like humanoids travel the world together, battling monsters, exploring, and fighting evil. The comic follows the adventures in an episodic pattern and has a good helping of lighthearted comedy and action.

This webcomic contains examples of:
- Amazing Technicolor Population: The Demon Clan and some Winged people have non-human skin colors.
- Deadpan Snarker: Mordecai most of all, but the cast tends to rib each other quite frequently.
- Dual Wielding: Osric's preferred method of fighting.
- Elemental Rivalry: Hitero and Dai (Ice and Fire)
- Evil Is Hammy: Bastian and Remora are... quite dramatic.
- Fantastic Racism: The Winged, Wolf, and Fox people have some interesting cautionary stories about eachother from ancient times.
- Fire, Ice, Lightning: Dai, Hitero, and Mordecai.
- Friend to All Living Things: Violene gets on pretty well with animals and doesn’t mind the creepy crawlies.
- Genre Savvy: The characters are quite privy to the conventions of an RPG fantasy world. Lucky for them, that’s exactly the world they live in.
- Heroes Prefer Swords: Xerxes’ weapon of choice. It extends and retracts.
- Lady of War: Armed with a bow and arrow, Violene is both feminine and a good fighter.
- Lampshade Hanging: Quite a few instances.
- Little Bit Beastly: Nonhumans who aren’t outright Beast Men tend to fall under this.
- Limited Wardrobe: Xerxes wonders to himself why he didn’t change clothes before going off on his adventure.
- Monstrous Humanoid: All the non-human races are this to some degree, except for the Seral.
- Our Demons Are Different: Demons are aquatic, impish humanoids that aren't outright evil but rather mischievous.
- Polite Villains, Rude Heroes
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Hitero and Dai. Hitero is the calmer one and has ice magic while Dai is more hotblooded and has fire magic.
- Shock and Awe: Along with a few other abilities, Mordecai uses lightning magic.
- Wide-Eyed Idealist: A less childlike version than usual, but Xerxes is quite optimistic and takes everything in stride.
- Winged Humanoid: The bird-like Winged Clan.
