Hexenringe
is a dimension-hopping weekly fantasy Webcomic by Tokyo-based comics team writer patokon and artist Tomoko Hirabayashi about Cadi, a background extra for comics who is looking for something different in her life. Nothing could be more different than the enigmatic Tressa who who pops up in Cadi's comic world without warning.
Hexenringe provides examples of the following tropes:
- Alien Invasion: The Earth comes under attack from the Blarg in the Prologue.
- Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Cadi is bored with being a comics background extra.
- Kaiju: The Blarg is an alien being that arrives on Earth to cause mayhem and destruction.
- Overly-Long Tongue: The Blarg's secondary weapon is it's frog-like prey-catching tongue.
- Rent-a-Zilla: Kaiju don't show up every week. In fact, the main character barely recognizes The Blarg's existence.
