Bubble Fox is a webcomic illustrated and written by Jon Esparza. It began in 2014. Set in a world inhabited by Funny Animal characters in the Crazy Forest, a place where Toon Physics and the Rule of Funny reign supreme. The comic follows Bubble, a fox who enjoys bubbles.
Bubble Fox provides examples of:
- Author Appeal: A good majority of the comics tend to involve Inflation, in addition to toony physics.
- Guest Strip: Over the course of the series' run, there have been quite a few strips that were done by people other than Jon himself, including one by Scott Warren of Crunchy Bunches fame, and several by Jennifer Cuthbert, such as this one.
- Helium Speech: One comic involves this.
- Mondegreen Gag: One comic involves Lilly getting a "Pumped kin".
- Seesaw Catapult: In the fourth part of The Flying Fox, Simon attempts to get Bubble to fly by having him be on one side of a giant seesaw and dropping an anvil onto the other, which leads to Bubble flying straight into a cliff from above.
- Visual Pun: Some of the eight "Wonderfully Wacky Wordplay" comics involve someone saying something that is shown in a literal fashion at the last panel. Part 7, for instance, has Bubble tip a literal cow waiter.
- You Must Be This Tall to Ride: In All is Fair: Rabbit Ears, a bunny with floppy ears can't go on a ride because they're shorter than the minimum of the height sign. Bubble solves this problem by blowing them up, which causes their ears to go up, and subsequently letting them through.
