- Adaptational Badass: Bulk gains the ability to turn into Tor the Shuttlezord.
- Adaptation Deviation:
- In Season 2, the Gosei Sentai Dairanger suits are used as new transformations for the Rangers. In addition, Adam, Rocky and Aisha are respectively the Red Dragon Ranger, Yellow Griffin Ranger and Green Lion Ranger in this version.
- The enemy foot soldiers of Gosei Sentai Dairanger and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger are added as magical creatures called Hakushi.
- Adaptational Explanation:
- The reason Rita and Zedd wants Earth conquered is because the planet is their final step in opening a gateway to an underworld filled with monsters.
- The reason why Zedd's monsters have such glaring weaknesses is because Baboo and Finster used their magic to sabotage them. For example, Finster created Putties that can be destroyed by hitting them in the chest.
- Adaptation Origin Connection: Serpentera is actually a super-mutated clone of the Dragonzord, made by Lord Zedd.
- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Baboo and Finster are magical rivals, competing with each other to gain Rita's favor.
- Adaptation Species Change:
- Zedd's monsters were Eltarians, like Zordon and Zedd, that swore loyalty to the latter.
- The Aquitar Rangers, sans the White Ranger, are monsters called Yokai that turned good.
- Rito is revealed to be a former Aquitian.
- Been There, Shaped History:
- The Dragonzord inspired tales of evil dragons while Ninjor inspired knights when he interfered and fought the Dragonzord.
- Ninjor and the other Ninja Quartet (Ninja Megazord, Falcon Megazord and Shogun Megazord) played a part in Japan's history.
- Canon Foreigner: The Mega Dino Ranger and the Cult of Rita are completely original to this fic.
- Composite Character: Tommy transforms Titanus into the White Tiger Zord.
- Evil vs. Evil: Several of the monsters, including Baboo and Finster oppose Zedd for banishing Rita.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: The Rangers built devices to absorb Zedd's power to empower their Zords. Unfortunately, this comes back to bite them as the powers were too much for their Zords to handle, leading to their destruction at Rito's hands.
- Only the Chosen May Wield: The Power Weapons are semi-sentient and can choose who they feel is worthy to hold them.
