* StuffBlowingUp: A RunningGag is that Bertie blows stuff up.
* TooDumbToLive: Anyone who lets Bertie near any form of lever, switch, button, or tripwire deserves to have the landscape blown up.
* VocalEvolution: The duo's voices were both deeper and slower, sounding like actual gentlemen, over time their voices have sped up and gone higher in pitch, intended for RuleOfFunny.
* WalkingDisasterArea: At the end of nearly every video, something bad happens, [[StuffBlowingUp usually involving bombs]], and often caused at least indirectly by Bertie. Herobrine's infamous E also appears in many ''Minecraft'' videos, resulting in their "EEEEEEEEEEE" scream.
