IDFB is the third season of Battle for Dream Island.
A direct continuation of Battle for Dream Island Again, it depicts how everyone has been living their life in Yoyleland for the last three years. At the end of the episode, Tennis Ball discovers a wall teleporter that can bring one contestant out of the nested Locker of Losers and Tiny Chamber, and Yellow Face proposes that the viewers vote on who to release. However, the series was Cut Short after that episode, and whatever consequences the vote would have had would be nullified by the practical reset in the next season.
The only episode of IDFB was released on September 1, 2016, and the next episode in the BFDI series would be the next season, Battle for BFDI.
This show contains examples of:
- Animation Bump: The opening of IDFB is more fluid and exaggerated than normal.
- Cut Short: IDFB was cut short with just a single episode before another year-long hiatus and reboot with Battle for BFDI.
- Formula-Breaking Episode: "Welcome Back" marks the return of BFDI after its three-year hiatus, but it's very different from the core series. It is now IDFB, featuring slice-of-life comedy antics instead of challenges, and voting for a character to return instead of being eliminated.
- Not the Fall That Kills You…: Pencil falls off the Yoyle Needy. Book and Ice Cube run down to catch her, while Ruby jumps down the flight of stairs. Book and Ice Cube catch Pencil just before she reaches the ground, while Ruby shatters on impact.
- Rearrange the Song: IDFB's theme turns into a redone version of the original song about halfway through.
- Sdrawkcab Name: IDFB is the reverse of BFDI.
- Vocal Evolution: By the time IDFB was released, Needle became impossible to voice because of her high pitch. Cary had to ask for another voice actor in one of his other videos.
