Web Animation / BFDI Mini

BFDI Mini is a Spin-Off mini-series of Battle for Dream Island on the Jacknjellify TikTok and later, YouTube Shorts. The show was created to increase viewer interaction with social media posts amongst the fandom as evidenced by the fan-requested challenges and viewer voting. The show has a runtime of five mini seasons, with one ongoing.

Its first season lasted seven episodes from 10th September to 16th September 2020 with daily uploads.

Due to popular demand, a second season BFDI Mini Again was released on 27th September 2020 with a brand new cast.

Season three BFDI Mini Deluxe rolled around on 10th December 2020 with another brand new cast.

The fourth season BFDI Mini, Seriously! aired on 27th March 2021 which features an entire cast of David knockoffs.

After two years, it's back with the fifth season BFDI Mini Delicious on 26th July 2023 with delicious looking casts.

The sixth ongoing season BFDI Mini Replicas aired on 16th March 2024, this time with modified version with some of the BFDI characters.

Mini Tropes:

• A Dog Named "Dog": As per tradition with Object Shows, the contestants are named after the objects they take after whether they be ordinary household items, food, concepts or whatnot. Season 4 throws out the naming scheme since the season's contestants are all different variations of David.
• Anthropomorphic Food: You can make a whole buffet with the food and drink-based contestants^note Banana Apple, Frozen Yogurt, Juice Box, Kebab Strudel, Marble Bottle (Who's filled with Ramune soda), Mocha, Teabag and Yellow Watermelon. And this is not including the entire season 5 cast.
• Armless Biped: The show plays it straight^note Banana Apple, Frog, Frozen Yogurt, Juice Box and Yellow Watermelon, has inversions^note Mocha, Puppet and Tent and with limbless variants.^note A duck, Davidworm, Diamond, Lithium, Teabag and Vacuum
• Audience Participation: The reason why the show was made in the first place is to increase viewer interaction, allowing the fanbase to recommend challenges, contestants and voting to eliminate or rejoin.
• Back for the Finale: In season 4 where not only all the David contestants come back but also the finalists of their respective seasons showed up with their Island Minis.
• Eject the Loser: When a contestant is eliminated, they exit in every imaginable way possible like it's another gameshow centered around the concept.
• Overly Long Name: Selfie Dog is called as such because their full name^note jack russell terrier dog riding very fast with speed a skateboard as skater, with sunglasses in summer vacation, taking a selfie with smartphone or cell phone (In all lower caps) is way too long to be considered as one so it might as well be a sentence.
