Governor Ferguson is Miss Trunchbull from Matilda.
- After the events of Matilda, Trunchbull is said to have disappeared. Instead, she fled to Australia and changed her name, and became a corrections officer, working her way up the ranks and though she became more reserved, she never lost her sadistic streak.
Ferguson will break out of the box she was buried alive in at the end of season 5 and dig her way out
- Similar to the scene in Kill Bill. Time will tell if this gets Jossed or not.
- Perhaps she'll be gone for a few episodes, a whole season at most, but little by little, clues will surface indicating she's alive and plotting vengeance.
- For a few episodes it almost seemed like they were going to do this, with Vera getting strange phone calls, having a brick thrown through her window and then finding Ferguson's gloves on her pillow...but it turned out it was just a former worker at the prison blackmailing Vera. They then dug Ferguson up to make sure she was really dead, and she was. So, Jossed.
- Except nope, she's alive. The very last shot of season 7 is her face. Season 6 had a throwaway line about how DNA testing would confirm the body in the coffin to be Ferguson but we never got any followup on that.

- The new Alpha Bitch regional manager in season 8 exhibits extremity of emotion, violent mood swings, hypersexuality, quickness to alienate close friends, an inability to read or adhere to cues in social situations, always shifts the blame for her mistakes onto other people....let's just say this troper recognizes all of that only too well. The show makes it pretty clear she's emotionally disturbed in some way but never gets around to diagnosing her, and given the Ax-Crazy depths she goes to in the finale that's probably for the best.
