The fanfic spoils certain future events
The fanfic may imply that some of the events in the books are Foregone Conclusions:
- Alpha, introduced in the fourth book, commits suicide some time after Dire creates more AI minions and nobody seems to know why, according to Dire Worm!.
- Also, Dire will not have conquered the world yet by 2011, at least.
As counterpoints, there's evidence that the future can be changed (as per Future Dire's attempts to do the same), and some aspects of the world are different such as whether Dire shot Hitler or punched him in the face, or which "Canadian Girlfriend" she met first, which suggests that they might be in the other pants leg of time.
