WMG / The Angel of The Owl House

Go To

The Panacea Mirror will be used to cure Belos, not Eda.
The odds of Belos being an angel feels slim, so in the event that he's still a human posing as a witch, he would have learned about the existence of angels and will be interested in procuring Luz when he learns about her origins because she would be able to make a Panacea Mirror. In the end, he will have Lilith capture Luz as a hostage. Lilith with think he wants Eda, when really he just wants Luz. If they manage to create the mirror beforehand, he will try to hold her ransom for the mirror.
  • Jossed. While it isn't used to cure Eda's curse, it does cure her of Petrification.

Rasiel will be Evil All Along.
Rasiel was a seraphim (the most powerful kind of angel) from the Divine Realm who found himself imprisoned in a Dismantled MacGuffin with barely any memory of what happened to him. The priestess that oversaw the first fragment is dead-certain that he will bring ruin to the Demon Realm, the idea that Angels were anything other than Ax-Crazy Control Freaks being a fairly new opinion witch-kind have thanks to Belos (which, if we're follow canon, is a religious zealot from the Human Realm). Odds are Rasiel was sent to destroy the Boiling Isles in an ancient war between the two realms and the only reason why Rasiel is so cordial now is either because he doesn't remember his mission or it's one big ruse, bidding his time for when he regains his corporeal form

The Divider is one of The Archivists and one of The Collector's siblings.
Jossed by Word of God. However, there have been comments that state the Divider is a member of the Archivists' species.
  • Jossed. Rasiel is the Divider.
  • as of Chapter 46, half un-Jossed. Turns out the Archivists where born as Sephiroth as opposed to being Angels who became Sephiroth.

There will be an enemy faction from the Divine Realm targeting Luz.
Angels are characterized as a race of magical people who instill order on their own kind as well as others in the form of humanitarian aid. The fanfic insists that while angels and witches and demons all have stereotypes and assumptions about each other, they are all more nuanced than that. So while inhabitantsp of the Demon Realm aren't all hellraising savages like the angels think, angels would be all good like humanity thinks either.

Chapter 14 ends with Luz metamorphosing into a High Angel, meaning that she outranks her full-blooded angel mother according to the Divine Realm's hierarchy. She also mentions that Camilla practically had to run away as a refugee under the guise of providing humanitarian aid just so she could have Luz without Crest Chasity forcing her to breed with someone picked out for her or taking her daughter away. It's likely that, one way or another, the "proper authorities" in the Divine Realm will learn that there's a hybrid in the Demon Realm and that she's of a higher pedigree and will send a team to "save" her, even if they have to do it without her consent

Belos' wings are Rasiel's, grafted on
Belos found Rasiel's wings and took them, and somehow grafted them onto himself. This could mean he's an angel trying to take a shortcut, or a human trying to be an angel.
  • Confirmed in Chapter 39.

The Silver Sentinel is the Grimwalker of an angel
Rasiel is the main contender as he's missing a finger, but Cassiel is also a possibility.
  • it definitely isn't Rasiel, and Luz herself is now a possible candidate.
    • Confirmed. Lucy is a Grimwalker of Luz.

Mason was in love with Cassiel
If you reread the Covention chapter, you can pick up on the subtle implications. This could lead to him eventually joining the rebellion, but it could also go down a more villainous path.
  • The author had said I the comments that the Coven Head in question may not necessarily be Mason. In fact, they've only confirmed that said mysterious Coven Head is definitely NOT Darius or Adrien.
  • it wasn't Mason, but Vitimir, and as of now, he is firmly an enemy to Luz.

The Archivists' are Nephilim
In the lore of the fic, Nephilim are the offspring of angels and demons, largely believed to be nothing more than a myth, but Word of God has them as being one of the top three most powerful species in the fic, and its been said in the comments they may turn up at some point.

The Silver Sentinel is the daughter of Cassiel and the previous Golden Guard
As of the latest chapter, it had been revealed that Silver is a powerless cherub named Lucy, and a dead ringer for Luz, save for brown hair, a few scars, and pink eyes. This could mean that Silver is a Grimwalker like Hunter, but according to Belos her father was a Wild Witch who murdered her mother after discovering she was an angel, and it's not unreasonable to think that Belos simply gave her a warped version of the truth.
  • Jossed. Lucy is a Grimwalker of Luz.
    • However, Luz is actually Cassiel's daughter, as Cassiel is Camila, so in a way it could apply.

The Archivists' species is the Angels' equivalent of Titans
The Archivists, at least, are associated with celestial motifs and iconography, and the Divine Realm's equivalent of Oracle magic is Divination, which is based around reading the stars. It's possible that the Archivists' species are the 'Gods' of Angels in the Divine Realm, much like how Titans are the 'Gods' of Witches and Demons in the Demon Realm.
  • The Sephiroth are their equivalent of Titans. The Archivists are something else entirely.
  • the Archivists are Sephiroth who were 'born' or created rather than Angels who became Sephiroth.

King is in possession of a Ninth Mystery Element
In the lore of the fic, there a eight elements, the four canonical elements of Light, Ice, Fire and Plant, with the addition of Wind, Earth, Lightning and Darkness. Titans will inherite at least one element from at least one parent, with the third glyph being provided by either parent and then gaining a random glyph that neither parent has. Since it's implied that King's parents had all eight elements between them, it could mean his birth has created a new, ninth element, and this was even hinted at during the battle with the Titan Trappers.

Each member of the expanded Hexsquad is 'paired' with a Coven and an element
This has pretty much been confirmed by Word of God, although who's paired with who/ what isn't completely know. What follows is a rough run-down of one possible line up:
  • Luz: Emperor's (?), all elements(?)
  • Willow: plant, plant
  • Gus: illusion, ice/water
  • Amity: abomination, ninth mystery element(?)
  • Matt: construction, earth(?)
  • Skara: bard, wind
  • Boscha: potions, fire(?)
  • Hunter: beast, lightning(?)
  • Silver/Lucy: oracle, darkness (?)
  • Unknown (could be Vee or Rakusa the Titan Trapper): healing, light (?)

The Hexsquad will try to make their way back to the Demon Realm via the Divine Realm.
looking to be so as of Chapter 46
