Awesome / The Angel of The Owl House

Go To

  • Luz frees all the Conformatorium prisoners, causing a massive battle between them and the guards.
  • After bonding with the light glyph after seeing it in a flash, Luz quickly uses it to beat Warden Wrath and save Eda and King.
  • Luz, begging the Titan for aid, manages to bond with the fire glyph and supercharge the Panacea Mirror to cure Eda of her petrification, much to the shock of everyone watching. Belos has to quickly do damage control and claim that she used wild magic, but it's clear that not everyone is convinced.
  • Afterwards, Luz calls out Belos for his lies, and when he attacks her in retaliation, with the help of the Titan's power Luz ascends to the level of an Arch-Angel, fending off his magical lightning. She then challenges Belos to a duel, borrowing Corvanc from Lilith, and the fight is suitably epic, ending with covering the entire Conformatorium with plant life and slicing off part of Belos's mask.
  • The CATTS have been successful enough at resisting Belos after Eda's failed petrification that Bonesborough is named a Truce Zone, among other things.
  • King has been experimenting with glyph combos, and uses them to great effect against the Silver Sentinel.
  • Luz diving into the Maelstrom to rescue the Basilisk spy alongside Skara, unlocking the Wind glyph in the process.
  • Amity using her newfound skill with Oracle magic, combined with her natural skills in Abomination magic, to attack the cores of the Abomatons and destroy the Titan Bone they use as a power source.
  • The heroes managing to stop Lilith in her Raven beast form and keep the townsfolk of Gravesfield from finding out about magic by making it look like they're filming for a movie or show.
  • The heroes fight against the Goliath Ash Moth has a few moments, given that the demon is considered the apex of what a Bug Demon can be and they still manage to fend it off and survive.
  • Willow managing to defeat Hanu, one of Terra's elites in the Plant Coven, showing off a trick of grafting two magical plants together to combine their effects.
  • Luz managing to bond with the Wind glyph, getting a vision of King's parents in the process.
  • After Luz gets the Wind glyph, she works with the others to finally restrain Luna and calm her down.
  • Boscha shows off her skills in "Cauldrons and Creeps". First she makes a potion to undo Vitimir's own Familial Love Potion right under the Coven head's nose. Then, when in a cell with Morton and Barcus she uses the stray supplies in the room and the Bard magic whistling trick that Skara taught her to create a compound to dissolve the bars and let them escape. Finally, she gives Vitimir a seriously hard time in their fight in the climax, including showing off her new Abomination skills, but ultimately loses... because it was all a trick to hide the fact that she used the whistle trick to sabotage the potion that he wanted to force Luz to drink right through his protective barrier.
  • The battle between the Hunter and Silver Sentinel versus Amity, Luz, King, Steve, and Katya is suitably epic.
  • When Luz is injured by Bill, Amity and King start absolutely pummeling the Titan Trappers that try coming after them, King even growing his wings.
  • Even though Luz is exhausted from healing so many people, and Lucy isn't in top shape herself, the two Angels manage to fight Hettie Cutburn, who is trying to kill the latter for being a Grimwalker.
  • Hexside easily wins five of the HECK events, and the Entrails do fairly well in the remainder despite many of them not being as skilled in those types of magic and the other students ganging up on them. They also easily defeat most of the Glandus students in the tie-breaker duel despite trying to hold back.
  • Luz's fight against the Supreme Dragon Lars, which was set up by Cassiopeia so that Luz could bond to the Earth glyph and have enough power to destroy her heart and free her spirit.
  • Amity's fight against Odalia. If Odalia didn't stupidly fuse three Oracle spirits together, she would have beaten her handily.
  • Luz managing to save the Palisman spirits in Belos's mindscape and Lucy in the same move.
  • Matt showing off his improved skills when Bria discovers him while they're infiltrating Glandus and attacks him. The first time he manages to get away from her, but the second time, after Gus's illusion covers the school, Matt is clearly winning the fight until being trapped in a sandpit causes Bria to have a bile overload, and even then he manages to use his words to get through to her.
  • Adrian drags himself and Gus into the latter's mind and duels the latter there, but despite his greater experience and the aid of his amplifier, Gus manages to trick and defeat Adrian, making him think that he's defeated Gus and gone back to the real world when he's really still in Gus's mind and the "Gus" he defeated is an ice decoy under an illusion, and thus unaware that he can still do the things that he was just doing.
