     Season 1

This series doesn't take place on Earth-Prime
  • John Diggle appears in "Through the Valley of Death."
    • Unless it's another universe's Diggle...
    • Why would it be?
    • Given how many continuity snarls and retcons there have been, and the complete absence of Kara, it's almost easier to assume it's another universe's Diggle than try and fit this show into the broader Arrowverse.
    • Ha! Called it!

The Big Bad is from the future
Captain Luthor comes from a future. That's how he knows everything there is to know about Superman's life story. His ship is even equipped with an AI that is suspiciously similar to Gideon from the Waverider.
  • Notice, though, he does not call Superman by his human name, indicating he doesn't know everything about him.
  • Note the Pilot indicates his native earth was destroyed by Crisis On Infinite Earths.
  • Apparently, he's from another world whose world was destroyed by an evil Kal-El.

The Big Bad is from an Injustice style bad future and isn't evil at all.
  • Captain Luthor comes not just from a future, but a bad future akin of Injustice or any of the other "Superman turns evil" stories. He's gone back to try to kill Superman before this happens but doesn't have any real malice against anyone. That's why the meltdowns are something Superman can deal with easily enough.
    • Confirmed. His Earth was in a universe with an evil Kal-El, who destroyed it.

Jonathan will develop powers, but with a twist
They'll end up being the more obscure powers Superman had that tend to be Adapted Out. How he end up with different powers will end up being an ongoing mystery.
  • Perhaps they'll split powers. Like Jonathan will get more physical things like super strength and speed, while Jordon gets heat vision, ice breath, and flight. They both get super durability.

Jordan will have a personal nemesis at school

Someone did see Jordan's heat vision
But they're keeping quiet about it. Maybe they don't want to get involved in alien stuff. Maybe they're not sure what they saw. Maybe they're holding onto it for future blackmail material.

Evil Superman is nor Injustice Superman but a Justice Lord
And we'll be seeing other evil League counterparts in flashbacks from that Earth.

Captain Luthor will end up being the son of his world's Lex Luthor and will encounter his father's analog on Earth-Prime.
The theme of the show is family, after all, and it would be symmetrical for a show about Superman's family to also touch on the Luthor family.
  • Nope! He's actually John Henry Irons.

It's not a coincidence that both times Jordan manifested powers, he was around Jon.
  • Jor-El commented on how little solar radiation Jordan can store. Maybe he's got the powers but Jon has the batteries?
  • And both times Jon's safety was under threat.

Captain Luthor was married to his world's Lois Lane
  • Confirmed

Morgan Edge and Sam Lane look different because they took on the likeness from either Earth-1, Earth-2, or Black Lightning's Earth.
Considering how Crisis proved that you don't necessarily have to have the same face as your Alternate Self (Earth-38 Clark and Earth-96 Clark look different from each other) in the same vein that not all Doppelgangers share the same name (Earth-96 Clark looks exactly like Earth-1 Ray Palmer), it's likely that both Morgan Edge and Sam Lane have had counterparts on the three Earths mentioned above. It's also likely that some of the events involving them in Earth-38 still happened on Earth-Prime to a certain extent, but it diverged along the way.

One of the twins is going to become an antagonist and there will be a redemption arc.

The "school" General Lane mentioned is a military academy
  • All but confirmed as of Season Two.

The X-Kryptonite will lead to the creation of Kryptonite Man
He'll be a version of either K. Russell Abernathy (the first of the New Earth versions), Clay Ramsay (the New 52 version), Mike Walker (a one shot villain from the Smallville episode "The Kryptonite Kid") or a new character original to this show. If it's Abernathy, he'll start out as a scientist hired by Edge to experiment with the X-Kryptonite.

Jonathan and Jordan will get a visit from their aunts.
In one possible future episode, the Kents will invite all of their relatives for the holidays like Thanksgiving with the relatives being the boys Aunts which includes Kara Danvers, Clark's Kryptonian cousin, Lucy Lane, Lois's younger sister and Alex Danvers, Kara's adopted older human sister (which makes her technically also the boys' Aunt due to her relationship with Kara and Clark). Kara, Lucy and Alex will learn about Jordan having powers and tries to teach the brothers about the good and bad of having powers in their own ways.
  • Partially confirmed. Jenna Dewan will reprise her role as Lucy Lane in Season 2. However, Kara and Alex won't be appearing.

Leslie Larr is a former Fort Rozz prisoner or an amnesiac Kryptonian who got kicked out of Argo City and lost her memories sometime after coming to Earth.

The flashbacks to Clark's teenage years will eventually reveal that while he was on his way out of Smallville, he was recruited by the Legion, and trained with them in the future before going to Metropolis and becoming Superman in his own time.

Jordan will not go evil.
Because presenting a young teenager with anxiety issues as a villain would be... not a good look, to say the least.

Jor-El or Lara will be revealed to be alive

Kyle Cushing will become one of Edge's "Subjekts"
Confirmed in "Loyal Subjekts."

If Jonathan doesn't develop powers, he will instead become this Earth's Steel.
If John Henry Irons stays on the evil path, wouldn't be too out of left field for Superman's non-powered son to take over the hammer-wielding expy of him for this dimsension. Since the hammer can also be thrown, it's in line with Jonathan's football skills.
  • John's been redeemed, but it's still not at all out of the question. The end of Season 1 even hinted at it, with Jon using a couple of John's weapons.

Morgan Edge is actually General Zod
And after he arrived on Earth, he killed the real Morgan Edge (thus explaining why he looks different from Pre-Crisis Edge) and claimed his identity for himself, similar to what Eobard Thawne did to Harrison Wells in The Flash (2014).
  • Edge is Tal-Rho, a new Kryptonian character.

The revived Kryptonians are the citizens of Kandor.
Rather than being out of nowhere and instead of being shrunken down, Kandor's citizens were instead somehow sealed into the X-Kryptonite, awaiting revival in new hosts.

As for Morgan Edge being Clark's brother, unless he meant it informally, he is either Jor-El's son from an affair/previous marriage in Kandor, or he's Ultraman from another Earth (having been displaced after the Crisis like Irons), thus making him and Kal-El technically twin brothers/doppelgänger.

  • He's Lara son from her first marriage which was arranged.

The alternate Superman was corrupted by the Eradicator
  • All but explicitly confirmed.

Jordan's anxiety is what triggered his powers
Notice that the first powers that Jordan has consistently been able to use are heat vision and super-hearing. One power can potentially keep people away (if he were to use it as such) while the other increases his awareness (hyper-vigilance being common in people with anxiety). His super-strength and invulnerability are more intermittent because he is used to Jonathan being the more physically-oriented one and he lacks confidence in things like fights. Jonathan, being more self-confident and less anxious, just hasn't quite triggered for long enough to stimulate manifestation of his own latent abilities.

Lois is an only child on Earth Prime
  • Jossed, Lucy will appear in season 2 and is mentioned in the premiere.

Tegan's father is a Flash villain.
He was put in jail in Central City and it's a comic-book series. So call the odds 50/50.

Sam Lane will answer the Call to Agriculture.
The Call to Agriculture is a classic and historical retirement job for loftily-ranked military leaders. Now a freshly minted retiree, Sam Lane will take it upon himself to coax a crop out of the land owned by his son-in-law's family.
  • Jossed; he spends some time retired and playing golf before being reactivated.

Leslie Larr is Clark's mother, either with Laser-Guided Amnesia or from John Henry Irons' Earth
Note that seemingly the reason Irons' Superman turned evil is because of corruption from other Kryptonians. Maybe Lara from that Earth is evil and helped turn her son. Or this is the Earth-Prime Lara who survived Krypton's explosion and has amnesia. If it's the former...
  • Partly Jossed as of 1x10 - this Earth-Prime Lara's consciousness was still in the Eradicator until it was used on Lana Lang.

The reason Superman and the other alternate Kryptonians turned evil is General Zod.
He's one of the few examples of an evil Kryptonian I know and would certainly be the kind of evil force that would rally the survivors to him. Especially if, like in Smallville and Krypton he's Superman's uncle (and at one point in this show he's seen with the El crest). It would allow him to brainwash Kal-El into doing what he thinks is right with that familial bond. Basically, all reasons for Zod to be the Manipulative Bastard he's always been.

     Season 2

Lieutenant Anderson will create Bizarro or a version of Kell-El/Superman-X
Based on his comment that "America can have more than one Superman", perhaps foreshadowing he'll make a clone of Superman to substitute for the real deal if Clark refuses to work with the DOD.

Jordan will tell Sarah about his superpowers

Natalie will get her own armored suit at some point, similar to her father's
  • Confirmed

Lucy will get superpowers
  • Jossed

The thing in the mines is not Doomsday
Confirmed: It's Bizarro.

Timmy Ryan was actually affected by the X-Kryptonite
Explaining why a formerly weak guy can now bench-press 300 pounds. Confirmed.

Doomsday is being controlled by Zod's consciousness
Zod inhabited Doomsday after Superman expelled him from his mind. However, Zod and Superman are still linked, which explains the latter's visions.
  • Jossed. Turns out it's Bizarro, and the visions are from the two identical individuals being linked.

Tag Harris is really the Arrowverse incarnation of Kenan Kong
Especially now that Lieutenant Anderson is using him to be a Superman-esque soldier and he's the only one of the three superpowered soldiers who survived Bizarro's attack. And with regards to his name, he might've either been adopted and given an American name or he had immigrant parents who Americanized their surname and Tag hasn't gone by "Kong Kenan" in a long time.

Ally is still the Parasite
Merging her Prime and Bizarro selves has seemingly elevated Ally to godhood. She was willing to have her loyal follower, Bizarro Anderson, killed to stop him from merging with his Prime counterpart before she could do so herself. But she still gives the pendant to Jon-El and tells him to go merge with Jonathan Kent. This could be a variation of Gods Need Prayer Badly. Without followers to feed her, Ally cannot maintain her godhood indefinitely. She wants others to merge, not because it will make them her equals, but because it will make them her power source!

Tal-Rho and Bizarro Lana will get a new music motif
After he literally blew her off, it will be an instrumental cover of Don't You Want Me me by the The Human League.

Clark and his family were mind-wiped to completely forget about Kara
Because there has to be some reason she's never referenced.
  • Jossed; they're on a different Earth.

John Diggle and Sam Lane are old army buddies
Now that Diggle's been confirmed to appear in the Season 2 finale, and Sam being stated to deliver a speech that'll confirm S&L is indeed set on Earth-Prime, this is a logical conclusion.
  • Jossed; they're on a different Earth.
  • Not necessarily, now we know there's another Dig.

     Season 3

Jon will come out as bi
Considering his comic counterpart is bisexual, it wouldn’t be surprising if this carried over to the show. Alternatively, Jordan could be bi, as he takes some aspects of Jon from the comics.

Natalie will end up with Jonathan
More than just "pair the spares," they already have spent a lot of time and been through some crazy stuff together. And it would even bring her full circle: From working to kill Superman on one Earth, to dating his son on another.
  • Although, they are sort of siblings, as Lois’s doppelgänger is her mother. It seems unlikely the show would go in this direction.
  • Seemingly jossed by this point. Not only does she fully consider them family, but she also seems to have a romance going on.

The door is open for Bizarro to come back but as a mutated and reanimated Doomsday
He's already been given some minor Composite Character traits from the beginning, such as wearing the Doomsday suit and being a nightmarish force of nature coming out of nowhere that nobody seemingly has any answer to. Plus, they already did it with another Kryptonian in the DC Extended Universe where Zod's body got reanimated as Doomsday by Lex Luthor so it's possible Bizarro could get that same treatment in this series as a potential form of Author's Saving Throw for those who feel Bizarro was misused.
  • Confirmed. Not only does he come back as Doomsday, but it's also Lex Luthor who helps him get him to that state even though it was Mannheim's experiments that gave him the genetic foundation to keep evolving.

The more well-known Rudy Jones will get mutated into the more familiar Parasite general audiences are acquainted with
Since this series is no longer affiliated with the Arrowverse, there's nothing holding them back creatively anymore with regards to whatever Supergirl (2015) established so the Rudy version of Parasite can easily be re-cast, possibly with him being a janitor who manages to somehow become the Parasite because of his interactions with the imprisoned Ally and her counterpart.
  • Jossed—at least so far

Kara/Supergirl still exists in this universe, she just hasn't made it to Earth yet
She's in the Phantom Zone or a similar location, and either Clark will find her at some point or her pod will crash-land on Earth by the end of the season.

The DoD has a Mole
Intergang is apparently synthesizing blood taken from Superman. How they got it is a mystery, at first glance. Except that last season, when Clark was Brought Down to Normal by Ally, the DoD medical unit was able to draw blood samples from him for the first time ever. Given the pathetic security at the mines in Smallville, and the fact that Ally had a follower inside of the DoD, their security and personnel vetting seems to not be all that great. Somebody inside the DoD either works for Intergang, or was at least willing to sell a blood sample from Superman to them.
  • Given that Lex Luthor was able to acquire weapons able to kill a Kryptonian, it's entirely possible that said mole doesn't necessarily work for Intergang and instead is just generally a black marketeer.

Matteo is Bruno Mannheim's son
The two actors share more than a passing resemblance, and we have yet to hear Matteo's surname. From a dramatic perspective, it would be a heck of a gut punch to their romance for their families to be at odds that way.
  • Confirmed!

Bruno Mannheim is trying to cure someone close to him with Superman's blood
He's alluded to the suffering of Hob's Bay several times, and talked about the death of his mother in episode 5. While he certainly seems to have no qualms about using the various superpowered byproducts of his experiments to further his criminal enterprises, it seems far too personal to just be about the crime. Perhaps he has a sick family member... (See above.)
  • As it turns out, said family member is his wife, Pia. He seems to be working on a super serum to cure illnesses, with the powers seeming almost a side-effect.

     Season 4

Lex Luthor is going to find out that Clark Kent is Superman

With how Jordan has been showing off in late Season 3 and how people like George Dean, Jr. and Kyle figure that a super powered being was among them in Smallville, Luthor might learn the same thing, find out Jordan is that hero, then connect the dots and realize that Clark is Superman. It would be an excellent way for Jordan to learn to never show off ever again.
