- Comments: Paige has already racked up an impressive number of fics for this fandom (over 100 and counting) despite the show being out for less than a season at this point. The author does a good job meditating on what it might actually mean to be an alien, or half-alien, for the Kent boys on an emotional level, in a hurt/comfort but not overly-angsty sort of way. In particular, what it might mean for Jonathan who, even though he doesn't have outright powers in canon yet, might still have some other Kryptonian qualities. In addition, the author has a slew of future fics dwelling on Jordan becoming an active hero, Sarah and Jordan's growing relationship, and Jonathan developing powers of his own, which are quite fun.

- Comments: mjetkind's fics run the gamut, from fluffy Lois & Clark fics, to increasingly-distressing ways for Jonathan to realize his Kryptonian heritage, to one-offs about Jordan and Natalie. You never quite know what you'll get, but it's always interesting!
The Normal One

- Synopsis: The Kent family had always known that Jonathan seemed to have an unfailing instinct for how to connect with others. It was like he just seemed to understand exactly what a person was thinking. But they never suspected that there was something unique about it until a visit to the Fortress of Solitude shows them that they couldn’t be more wrong.
- Notes: Rather than one fic, this is a series of one-shots (for the most part) in the same universe where Jonathan develops mental powers rather than typical Kryptonian ones.

- Comments: The idea that Jonathan could not only get powers, but get powers vastly different from those of his father and brother, is a fun one to explore in these fics. Even more brilliant is the idea that they stem from Jonathan's canon people skills and empathy, meaning they don't come out of nowhere. A lot of nice Kent family moments helps ground the series quite nicely.

- Synopsis: It's been about a month since Morgan Edge's plan failed, but Jordan is still struggling. A mysterious arrival suddenly gives him more insight than he ever dreamed possible. But it also makes things incredibly more complicated for the entire Lane-Kent family.

- Comments: Future Jordan visiting his younger family is so fun, and leads to some really nice character moments for everyone. This fic is quite heartwarming, doesn't get bogged down by time travel rules and complications.
