CAUTION: UNMARKED SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT!!!

Alanna is Evil All Along.
  • For starters, Present-Day!Alanna is a far cry from Flashback!Alanna. When Adam's nowhere around, she threatens the likes of Batman and Mr. Terrific. Heck, maybe she killed the guy who yelled at Adam in Issue 1.
    • Jossed. Alanna didn't kill the angry guy. Adam did it himself.

The Pykkt Empire are not nearly as villainous as Alanna wants everyone to think they are.
  • There's a lot of discrepancies going on regarding the Pykkts. Issue 4 has a Rann librarian insisting to Mr. Terrific than the Pykkt language is impossible to decipher only for the latter to prove the former wrong and we only ever see the Pykkts via flashbacks and Alanna's word to go on.
    • Jossed. Turns out the Pykkts really are bad. So bad, that they grounded Adam's willpower to the bone, causing him to sell Earth out to spare Rann and his family.

The flashbacks aren't telling the whole story.
  • The flashbacks are actually romanticized events of what happened during the Rann-Pykkt War as they are described in Adam's book. Later issues will show that there was a lot more going on. Plus, Issue 1's flashbacks had Adam talking a lot of expositional speak...
    • Semi-confirmed? The end of Issue 12 revealed that most of, if not all, the adventures in Adam's book were actually written by Alanna herself.

If Aleea isn't dead, then she's been hidden somewhere.
  • Issue 2 has Mr. Terrific claiming Aleea Strange isn't dead. If it's true (and it probably is?), then she's probably somewhere in Rann, perhaps led to believe Adam is dead. Likewise, Adam is manipulated to think she's dead.
    • Jossed and Confirmed! Issue 11 reveals she's alive, but not in Rann. She's in a Pykkt attack cruiser that's orbiting Mars.
