Dustin has explained that the album is a sister album to DIVISIONS, its setting taking place in the same timeline where the BMI takes prominence. The music video for "ICARUS" reveals that the various shorts of in-universe adverts are forms of propaganda in order for the New East spread their influence. The process to gradually lure society into having BMI implants is just the first step with the setting of DIVISIONS being the final result of this process. If the claim that Aston Wise being the Architect is true, then "SOMETHING WICKED" is the process and realization of him taking on the role.
