Given the band has an extensive narrative and their songs have multiple meanings (personal, in general, and narrative-connecting being among them), there are bound to be various theories regarding this and other related items. Any theories regarding the events of the novel, The PROX Transmissions, should be directed to its own related page.

     Overall
  • These theories cover the overall narrative with either no relations to a specific album or connections to multiple albums.
The claim that Aston Wise is the Architect is false and is intended to cause a rift of trust between members of the Starset Society, those who have been keeping up with the public outreach campaigns, and perhaps the band members themselves.
Think about it; if everyone is busy debating the claim, arguing over the claim's authenticity and moving their focus away from what they're supposed to be doing, it allows for those who aim to make the BMI-centric future come faster to have an extra advantage.

     Transmissions
  • These theories cover anything related to the Transmissions album.
     Vessels
  • These theories cover anything related to the Vessels album.
     DIVISIONS
  • These theories cover anything related to the DIVISIONS album.
     HORIZONS
  • These theories cover anything related to the HORIZONS album.
"SOMETHING WICKED" is the moment where the Rebels lose the war.

HORIZONS is actually a prequel to DIVISIONS with "SOMETHING WICKED" being the New East finalizing their takeover.
Dustin has explained that the album is a sister album to DIVISIONS, its setting taking place in the same timeline where the BMI takes prominence. The music video for "ICARUS" reveals that the various shorts of in-universe adverts are forms of propaganda in order for the New East spread their influence. The process to gradually lure society into having BMI implants is just the first step with the setting of DIVISIONS being the final result of this process.

If the claim that Aston Wise being the Architect is true, then "SOMETHING WICKED" is the process and realization of him taking on the role.

     Miscellaneous
  • These theories aren't connected to the narrative and/or are related to the band itself.
