The Robot Galaxy encompasses our Earth + Earliest possible date the show can take place
Several episodes contain specific references to Earth, humans, and human-made culture, including but not limited to:
  • "Bone to Pick" contains the line "when dinosaurs walked the earth".
  • There is an episode about Greek mythology (specifically Heracles).
  • A later episode shows that minotaurs are around
  • TK knows who Amelia Earhart is.
  • In the camping episode, the kids sing "Down by the Bay", a song that originated during World War I.
The specific time the show takes place is ambiguous due to being an outer space fantasy, but taking all the Earth culture the kids know into account, the earliest possible date the show could take place is 1939 (the year Amelia Earhart was declared dead, therefore all the information about her is final).

As for what Earth itself is like, we know that the following countries exist:

  • Greece (the Heracles episode, minotaurs)
  • The United States (Amelia Earhart was American)
  • Japan (there is an episode about origami)
  • England (where the song "Down by the Bay" comes from)
As such, it's likely that Earth in this universe exists exactly as it does in our universe, just perhaps in a different time period.

The robot kids are specifically space robots
Seeing as most robots we are familiar with on Earth are nowhere near as advanced/self-aware as these kids, it's safe to say there was some extraterrestrial science involved in their creation.
