Destroyman will appear as a boss
We already had him as a boss in the original game and Desperate Struggle (as New Destroyman), so why not bring him (or them) back for Round 3?
  • Confirmed. He was one of the first non-alien bosses revealed for the game during the August 2019 press conference
The "alien invasion" aspect of the plot isn't real, due in part to the Death Drive Mk II
In Travis Strikes Again, it is revealed through faxes sent to you by K that the Death Drive Mk II was being developed by the CIA to create cloned soldiers that could be remotely controlled by those using the machine. These clones were to have special cameras installed in them that filter reality to make any hostiles in the real world look like video game enemies (thus removing any guilt one would have for killing them). The final level of that game has you fighting through the CIA headquarters, except that the enemies you face and the environment look just like any other Death Drive Game. Travis even realizes that he is in the real world when the level begins.

The aliens in this game, as well as the entire appearance of the game itself, bear a very similar style to the game worlds in Travis Strikes Again (even the ramen stall owned by the bug shows up). It could be possible that everything we have been seeing is simply a "gamified" filtering of the real world and that the "aliens" are in reality humans. Perhaps the Travis we are seeing in this game is actually on of the Death Drive's clones, and the real Travis was captured at some point, being used as a soldier to be used against this invading army.

Fu is not the final boss
No More Heroes had a surprise final boss. This could be the same case.

Damon is a Shiroyabu stock body
Both characters struggle with unreliable memory, are petty to a murderous degree despite thinking they’re well above it all, undergo a violence driven transformation that expose an ugly change in personality and physicality, and are also regularly one-upped or emasculated by more capable people. They both also invoke the popular Gundam meme where they complain that not even their parents have hurt them.

Velvet Chair Girl didn't commit suicide only because of shame, but also out of mercy towards Ohma.

Sonic Juice didn’t want to be a killer anymore.
Sonic Juice delivers almost every line of his dialogue in such a tired way that he comes off as a weary warrior. He also talks to Fu trying to convince him that if he continues on his current path, it will only end in ruin. He was also willing to turn against the prince.
  • He was forced into his role as Demon God all to protect his home planet from destruction.

Travis tries playing JRPGs to honour Sonic Juice.
Travis was pretty upset when FU killed Sonic Juice and its possible he decided to give JRPGs a try as a form of Due For The Dead… and ended up becoming a genuine fan of the genre, Also like your telling me Travis Touchdown a massive weeb wouldn’t play the weebiest game genre there is?
