The playable Mario in "Mirror Mode" is not the native Mario of PS135's world, but rather a visitor trying to set things right and save his alternate self.
The playable Mario uses the modern Charles Martinet voice while the opponents uses the character voices from the Super Mario World cartoon. PS135 in particular seems to have a deeper and more gruff version of Mario in the cartoon, implying that he is the Mario of that universe corrupted by the glitch. Given how there's a whole Mario multiverse with this mod, it makes the most sense. The "mouth" of PS135's Mario body is actually an empty void.
PS135's true form is hidden inside this void with only his one eye being seen. His actual mouth which he sings out of is hidden in the void. The Mario Mix of "Final Escape" will be saved for the Grand Finale.
PS135's victims (with the exception of Oogtar and maybe Luigi) are the souls of actual players forced into the dead corpses of the characters to be his slaves, somewhat similar to Lucas from Mario 85.
Inspirations for future Mario Mixes
- Monochrome: the TikTok series where a guy cuts off pieces of a Luigi plush each time he doesn’t get a rare figure from a mystery bag
. - Top Loader: MARIO by M A R I O, albeit with elements from other Mario World based creepypastas, mainly for the news reports (the first one is of course Victim #1, while the other two are based on, say, I HATE YOU and 'the). Additionally, Victim #1 would take the role of Eggman.
- Bite: Freddy’s Spaghetteria, with the addition of some other main characters from SMG4 helping Mario out during the song.
- Miller: The Puzzlevision Saga, with the main party being replaced with the 6 main characters of Modern SMG4 (Mario, SMG4, SMG3, Meggy, Tari and Luigi) and Henry Miller replaced with Mr Puzzles. Additionally, the insults Miller throws at the party could be replaced with some of the most common criticisms towards the specific characters.
Soul Clash Mario Mix’s Soul characters will be the rest of the main party from Super Mario RPG (Mario, Peach, Bowser and Mallow).
