The friendly Waddle Dee would be retconned into Bandana Waddle Dee in a possible remake.
It's also likely this Waddle Dee is the exact same one as the Bandana Dee we know and love. He may have gotten a promotion by Dedede after the events of this game. (Bandana appears in Super Star, but isn't featured into the story) Adding to above, the Factory on Shiver Star would be shown to be owned by Haltmann Works Company.
