Liz's old orphanage being demolished was facilitated by White Snow as part of their psyche out tactic
The timing just seemed too coincidental. Not long after we see how they're clearly researching Team Satomi, hacking into their databases and mechs, and generally conspiring to make their lives a living hell, Liz gets a note saying the orphanage was demolished. With the revelation that Max is really a computer prodigy who started her own business, it's possible she used her resources to buy out the property and demolish it on a whim just to twist the knife on an already pressured Liz. White Snow planted the Worm during Satomi's second race with Sledge Mamma
Even though they weren't even present in the first season, they clearly have the technology to pull it off, and Max admitted to being obsessed with Takeshi. It's hinted that it was the overzealous Sledge Mamma fans that snuck into the Satomi garage and planted the worm, but it's stated that such technology is incredibly intricate, rare, and expensive; A bit out of reach of a handful of hobo-looking thugs who seem to just want to beat up Team Satomi.- While it's also hinted that Sir Hamgra of Team Velshtein had the worm planted (due to the malfunctions appearing similar to the one that caused Rocket-G's crash during their last race), it's unlikely that such a strict perfectionist would stoop to any form of cheating, as it would invalidate his mission of proving his team is the best there is.
