Brixton will be a hero at the end of this movie
This is a movie about two redeemed antagonists. Why not get a new antihero?- Jossed, I'm afraid. Unless someone fishes up his mechanical corpse and reprograms him, he's a goner.
- You say that as though it's unlikely in this series... Especially considering that this character was apparently already brought back from the dead once. So yeah, not a hero by the end of this movie, but a later one? Jury's out.
The disembodied voice of the Eteon leader is Cipher.
It's almost too obvious unless they're pulling a red herring with that. Considering the previous movie ended with her pulling off a Villain: Exit, Stage Left, it is very likely she could also pull off a Hijacked by Ganon at some point. The disembodied voice of the Eteon Director is Locke.
Considering the recent revelation that the Director was voiced by Ryan Reynolds
and has a history with Hobbs, there is a small likelihood of this being the case. Alternatively, the voice is actually Hobbs' father.
Considering that if the above theory is incorrect, and if his father somehow got out of prison, it's very likely that he's the voice, even having a connection to Hobbs. The Eteon director will be a new-to-the-franchise character played by Steve Austin.
In reference to his and Johnson's characters' rivalry from their wrestling days. The next film will feature a full-on Five-Man Band
As part of branching out into a larger universe, Hobbs will now be leading a team not dissimilar to Dom's family. You'll have:- The Leader: Hobbs
- The Lancer: Shaw
- The Smart Guy: Locke, who will serve as a Bunny-Ears Lawyer intelligence expert.
- The Big Guy: Dinkley, or at least he will view himself as the Big Guy.
- The Chick: Hattie, with a liberal dose of Action Girl, of course.
The director of ETEON is an AI
- If it has a human face in a sequel, for instance Keanu Reeves, it will be a software puppet. Or a cyborg puppet, so it can fight the heroes but with inhuman flexibility and strength.
