WMG / Godzilla: The Planet Eater

Go To

The real Ghidorah will look nothing at all like his traditional depiction.
We get to see three long "necks" with barracuda-like heads, and it indeed does resemble the traditional three-headed golden dragon in Godzilla lore. However, we never see the body. Could it be that the "heads" are really just tentacle-like appendages, attached to a completely different Eldritch Abomination very different fron the Ghidorah we're familiar with?
  • Jossed. Ghidorah's still a three-headed dragon with two wings, two legs, and two tails.
    • True but in the film, we only see the heads and necks with the shilouette of the rest his body appearing at one point.

Anime Ghidorah has a crippling design flaw.
Anime Ghidorah or Death Ghidorah so far looks like a Death Star with Ghidorah heads on it. And the way its beaten is the same way the Death star dies too. Via a torpedo thru an exhaust port causing the kaiju to blow up.
  • ...what?

Godzilla Earth will beat Ghidorah but then finished off by Mothra

Namely, like in the first clash between Godzilla and Mothra, Godzilla will be exhausted and badly wounded from fighting Ghidorah, at which point Mothra's egg will hatch and Mothra will finish him off.

  • Nope, Godzilla finishes Ghidorah off while Mothra appears for about 10 seconds in spirit? form and doesn't actually fight Ghidorah.

The Ghidorah we have seen in the trailers is just an astral manifestation.
This version of King Ghidorah is spirit-like in appearance and nature, and a brochure for the film gave the hint that it's just a manifestation of the monster's true form.
  • True. While Ghidorah is an energy being that is intangiable, Ghidorah in the film is an astral projection of himself. The REAL Ghidorah was waiting for the sacrifice to be completed, which never happened.
