This would mean that Captain Toad's adventures ultimately took him to the parts of the worlds the "Power Quartet" had to go through. This would also mean that the two games are parallel to each other.- Nope, its a prequel.
- It's possible that the "Expedition to the Sprixie Kingdom" chapters takes lace during or after Super Mario 3D World.
Amiibo functionality
While it has been stated that Nintendo's amiibo figures are compatible with this game, it has never been stated how. So which figures would be compatible and what will they unlock?- Most likely it would be figures from the Mario series, specifically Mario, Luigi, Peach and Rosalina. This is because these four are also playable characters in Super Mario 3D World.
- As for what they'll unlock... Most likely they'll unlock levels.
- And it appears I've been Jossed. The only compatible amiibo with this game is a Toad figure. All it does is include a "Pixel Toad" to find in the level itself.
Toad and Toadette are now king and queen of the Mushroom Kingdom
Because they found that crown, that makes them the new king and queen of the Mushroom Kingdom, though they are going to let Peach run the place.- It could also be that Super Crown!

There will be another update that adds more levels, including bringing back the 3D World levels.
