Some speculation on the tournament placement of boxers who aren't officially sorted into tournaments yet:
- Given Wild Dude's being closely linked to rats and storyboards of them interacting in a cutscene being shown on the discord server, it seems very likely that Grizzly Rat will be part of Wild Dude's Tournament.
- Considering his burly Great White Hunter look, there's a good chance that the Grand Adultman will be in Jim Chad's Tournament.
- DJ Yamon and the Retired Joker both look quite feeble compared to all the other boxers making them likely candidates for Freezy's Tournament.
- With Dr. Brawn being a clear reference to a well known supervillain in Dr. Octopus it would only be natural that Super Roger appears in the former' Tournament. A gif on the Soupmasters discord shows Chef Diesel with a notably more hunched and devious look than when he was known as Chef Kembo, this combined with his gasoline Addiction-Powered schtick make him an ideal candidate to be Brawn's Igor.

Toxic Love is really an eldritch horror in a human-shaped disguise
- Tentacles are often a motif of Eldritch Abominations and she has Black Eyes of Crazy unlike the other opponents. As to why she looks like a smokin' hot lady? To find prey easily, of course.
- Her One-Winged Angel form would involve her dropping the human disguise, allowing the player to literally punch out an eldritch horror.
- Alternatively, she may be a mutant, possibly thanks to Dr. Brawn, as the two have several similar features.
The final boss will be a personal rival/enemy of Coach Hank
- Hank being described as "starring" in the games self proclaimed overly dramatic story makes it seem quite likely that his past will have a major impact on the plot. Not to mention that this gives the developers the perfect chance to expand on the idea of Doc Louis' rivalry with Bald Bull in Punch Out Wii.
